Offering you an adventure exploration  of 11 days 10 nights, from hiking its volcano, island-hopping to 17 island Riung Marine Park, staying overnight in a secluded village Waerebo that sits high in the mountain, exploring local cuisines, and enjoying panoramic scenery.

Itinerary

Day 1: Flight to Maumere, East Flores

Take a flight to Maumere, a historic town in Flores that was the port for Portuguese in the 16th century. This town as also struck by tsunami in 1992, after a massive earthquake of 6,8 SR. Meeting service with local guide, then direct transfer to your hotel. Our recommended hotels to stay (Capa, Sea World Club, Coconut Beach Garden).

Day 2: Hiking Mt. Egon

Hiking tour to Mt. Egon (1.703 masl), massively erupted in 1925. Departing from hotel at 02.00 midnight, accompanied by local mountain guide. Return to your hotel & stay at leisure.

Day 3: Old Catholic Church – Koka Beach – Moni

Visit an old church St. Ignatius Loyola, which was built in 1893 by a Portuguese missionary JF. Engbers d’Armanddavile assisted by a king of Sikka, Don Lesu da Silva. Be ready to be beleaged by local weaving community who are exuberant to perform their old-fashioned weaving technique. Acquire one of their products will be very helpful for local economy. Head to Koka Beach for swimming/chilling & lunch. Enjoy driving to a village Moni for overnight. Moni is the gateway to Kelimutu National Park. Day 4: Excursion to Kelimutu – Wologai – Wolopaku

An early morning drive to Kelimutu at 04.00am, trekking from its parking lot to the peak of Mt. Kelimutu. Wait until the sun is to rise and enjoy the magical view of three-colored craters. Besides its scientific explanation, the local community believes that the craters are resting place for spirits and each color defines karma. The red crater is for villain, the white crater is for youth, and the blue crater is for elderly.

Trek down to the parking, drive back to hotel for breakfast and leisure. An afternoon visit to Wologai and Wolopaku. Wologai is an ancient village to be estimated of 800 years old, an old settlement for the tribe Lio. Then, proceed to coffee plantation Wolopaku to explore coffee (a short trekking and tasting). Return to hotel and stay overnight.

Day 5: Museum Bung Karno – Blue Stone Beach – Riung

Heading west and continue exploring. Drive back to Ende and visit Museum Bung Karno to have a look at the history of the Indonesia’s founding father who was exiled here in 1934 – 1938 by the Dutch-Hindi. Stop for lunch and relaxing in the blue-stone beach. Drive to the north coast & stay overnight in Riung. Our recommended hotels to stay (Omah Erma, Pondok SVD).

Day 6: Island-Hopping to 17 Island Riung Marine Park

An excursion to 17 island marine park, cruising on a local boat. Explore its wonderful underwater wildlife and see fruit bats in the mangrove forest. Enjoy a simple sea food barbecue on the beach. Return to hotel and stay at leisure.

Day 7: Bena Village – Malanage Hotspring

Enjoy driving to Bajawa, visit a traditional village of Bena to see ancestral shrines of male (Ngadu) and female (Bhaga). A megalithic village that sits harmoniously under the mountain Mt. Inerie, one of the volcanos in Flores. Drive down to the hotspring Malanage for chilling. Check-in hotel & stay at leisure. Day 8: Aimere –  Rana Mese Lake – Ruteng

Stop in Aimere to taste a local drink namely sopi, which is distilled from palm water. A short trekking in the woods around the lake Rana Mese, enjoy view of rice field terraces in Wae Reno, then head to Ruteng for overnight. Our recommended hotels to stay (Spring Hill, Revayah, Sinda).

Day 9: Liang Bua – Cunca Lega Waterfall

Visit Liang Bua, a cave where a prehistoric human species as known as Homo Floresiensis was found. The discovery of a short human skull with a height of 100cm and a weight of 25kg, dating from 18.000 years ago. And also the discovery of animal skulls, such as lizard, turtle, and ancient elephant. Heading to a waterfall Cunca Lega for chilling. Pre-packed lunch box is served. Return to hotel for overnight.

Day 10: Lingko Cara – Waerebo Village

Enjoy panoramic view of spider-web rice field Lingko Cara, drive south coast to Waerebo village. Stop for lunch in Dintor before heading to Waerebo Hiking Point. Waerebo is an ancient village, hidden in the mountain at the elevation of 1,100masl. The most secluded village across the island, only accessible by hiking. The hiking is approximately 2 hours. Stay overnight in the village.

Day 11: Labuan Bajo

Enjoy sunrise and explore the village. Trek down the same trail, stop for lunch in Dintor, and drive to Labuan Bajo for overnight. Stay at leisure at hotel in Labuan Bajo.
