Exploring Flores island of 7 days 6 nights, starting from Labuan Bajo & ending in Ende. A tour that offers you an experience of exploring wonderful nature and authentic local traditions.

Itinerary

Day 1: Labuan Bajo – Waerebo Village

Departure from Labuan Bajo, enjoy driving through villages and along the south coast, stop for lunch in Dintor, a short drive to Denge, catch motorbike taxi to Waerebo Hiking Point, then hiking to the village. Explore the village and stay overnight. Waerebo is a traditional village, hidden in the mountain at the elevation of 1,100masl.

Day 2: Waerebo – Ruteng

Enjoy sunrise, continue exploring, then trek down the same trail, drive to Dintor for lunch, and head to Ruteng for overnight. En route to Ruteng, stop for picture in Lingko Cara to see scenic landscape of rice-paddy field. This spider formation is the old technique of diving land in Manggaraian culture, so each families have the same portion. Our recommended hotels to stay (Spring Hill, Revayah, Sinda).

Day 3: Ruteng – Aimere – Belaraghi Village

Enjoy panoramic view of rice-paddy terraces in Wae Reno, continue driving to Aimere to see the process of Florenese home-made liquor is produced. This drink is distilled from palm juice. Drive to Belaraghi crossing a savanna, stay overnight in Belaraghi. Belaraghi is a traditional village of Ngadhanese, features a pair of shrines (female shrine is Bhaga and male shrine is Ngadhu).

Day 4: Trekking to Bajawa – So’a Hotspring – Wolobobo

Off-the-beaten trek to Bajawa, approximately 3 hours trekking. Stop for lunch at local restaurant in town, then proceed to So’a Hotspring for relaxing. Afternoon stroll to Wolobobo to catch sunset & enjoy panorama of Mt. Inerie. Stay at hotel in Bajawa. Our recommended hotels to stay (Edelweis, Sanian).

Day 5: Blue Stone Beach – Ende – Moni

Drive to Ende and visit Museum Bung Karno to have a look at the history of the Indonesia’s founding father who was exiled here in 1934 – 1938 by the Dutch-Hindi. Stop for lunch and relaxing in the blue-stone beach. Continue driving to Moni for overnight stay. Our recommended hotels to stay (Kelimutu Ecolodge, Paradiso Kelimutu).

Day 6: Excursion to Kelimutu – Wologai – Wolopaku

An early morning drive to Kelimutu at 04.00am, trekking from its parking lot to the peak of Mt. Kelimutu. Wait until the sun is to rise and enjoy the magical view of three-colored craters. Besides its scientific explanation, the local community believes that the craters are resting place for spirits and each color defines karma. The red crater is for villain, the white crater is for youth, and the blue crater is for elderly.

Trek down to the parking, drive back to hotel for breakfast and leisure. An afternoon visit to Wologai and Wolopaku. Wologai is an ancient village to be estimated of 800 years old, an old settlement for the tribe Lio. Then, proceed to coffee plantation Wolopaku to explore coffee (a short trekking and tasting). Return to hotel and stay overnight.

Day 7: Departure Flight

Drive back to Ende to catch your returning flight. Mid-day/afternoon flight is highly recommended.
