ITINERARY
Day 1: Arrival in Tambolaka, Sumba Island
Take flight to Tambolaka Airport. Meet your guide and driver here, proceed to town for lunch, and then check-in to your chosen hotel. Leisurely stay at hotel for the rest of the day. Dinner will be at hotel.
Day 2: Explore Tambolaka
Our journey here is to Weekuri Lagoon, Mandorak Beach, and Ratenggaro traditional village. After breakfast, we drive to Weekuri Lagoon, approx an hour. Enjoy swimming at this clear blue crystal water, then a short drive to Mandorak Beach for beach-relaxing. Pre-packed lunch box will be served here. After lunch, we continue driving to a traditional village namely Ratenggaro to see traditional houses, megalithic tombs, and local community. This village is located nearby sea. Walk down to the beach, relax while waiting the sun to set. Drive back to town, stop for dinner, and return to hotel.
Day 3: Prai Ijing – Matayangu Waterfall – Wairinding
We’re heading east to West Sumba, exploring the region to Matayangu Waterfall, then continue to traditional village Prai Ijing to see unique traditional houses and also its people. In the afternoon, we drive to Wairinding, enjoy senic landscape while waiting the sun to set. Head to hotel in town Waingapu, capital town of East Sumba, stop for dinner in town, then check-in to hotel.
Day 4: Waimarang – Walakiri
Your journey today will be taking you to Waimarang waterfall and Walakiri Beach. Enjoy the ride 2 hours to Waimarang, trek down 40 minutes to the waterfall, and start swimming. In the afternoon, we drive to Walakiri beach to enjoy sunset. Then, return to town, stop for dinner at Seafood Culinary Corner at the harbor to explore local cuisines. Drive back to hotel and enjoy your stay.
Day 5: Flight to Ende, Flores Island
Take flight to Ende, picked up at the airport here, then drive to Moni village to check-in hotel. Moni is the nearest place to the Kelimutu National Park. If the time permits, we will have an afternoon stroll around the village. Dinner is at hotel or local restaurants.
Day 6: Kelimutu National Park – Flight to Labuan Bajo
An early drive to Kelimutu at 04.00, then a walk to the top of Mt. Kelimutu that is 30 minutes to catch sunrise and enjoy view of the lakes below. Afterward, we drive back to our hotel in Moni for breakfast and departure. Drive back to Ende Airport and catch a flight to Labuan Bajo. Check-in to your hotel in Labuan Bajo and leisure. Dinner will be at restaurant in town.
Day 7: Rangko Cave – Burung Island – Kalong Island
Today, we’re going to start our journey to Komodo National Park. Picked up at hotel at 09.00am, drive to the harbor, and navigate to Rangko Cave for swimming. Next, we cross to Burung island by boat for snorkeling and beach-relaxing. In the afternoon, we navigate to Kalong island to see flying bats and catch sunset. Lunch & dinner on board. Sleep on board.
Day 8: Siaba – Manta Point – Komodo island
Enjoy cruising for the next 1,5 hours to Siaba, snorkeling here to find turtles and wonderful coral reefs. Another snorkeling at Manta Point to find manta rays. In the afternoon, the boat takes us to Komodo island, the natural habitat of komodo dragons. Enjoy trekking here with naturalist guide from the park, explore its forest to find dragons and another animals in the wild. Breakfast, lunch, and dinner on board. Sleep on board.
Day 9: Fishing Village – Pink Beach – Padar Island
You might be curious how local people on the island live side by side with komodo dragons? It’s time to find out! After visiting this village, we sail to Pink Beach to swim, snorkel, or just hip-hop on its beautiful beach. We continue to Padar island in the afternoon, hike to catch sunset and enjoy stunning scenery. The boat will be mooring here for overnight. Breakfast, lunch, & dinner on board. Sleep on board.
Day 10: Kanawa Island – (**Bidadari Island) – Labuan Bajo (Returning flight)
Cruising toward Kanawa island under the morning sun. Enjoy swimming here or just relaxing on the beach. If the time permits, we would stop for snorkeling at Bidadari island before returning to Labuan Bajo. Drop-off at Komodo Airport Labuan Bajo for your returning flight. Breakfast & lunch on board. Afternoon flight is highly recommended.
